Postures (asans) are static. Moving through asanas is done at a slower pace than vinyassa. With attention to alignment.

✺ Restorative
Ruminative, deep breathing, designated stretching, opening, realigning. A relaxing slow practice with the use of props, to fully support the body providing release of mind and body tension.

✺ Yin Yoga
"The quiet practice." In Yin yoga, asanas are held the longest. Much like Hatha and Restorative practices, there’s an emphasis on holding the pose rather than moving through a sequence more quickly, like you would see in Vinyassa.
